Messages and quiet hours
You decide in which language alerts arrive, what they look like, how often the same alert may repeat and when your phone stays silent.
Last updated: Sep 27, 2026- Open Wallet Center → Watchdog → Notification channels and scroll to Message format.
- Choose the Notification language.
- Press Save message format.
All channels use this language, including e-mails and webhooks with rendered text. Until you save it, existing notifications stay English, and the editor suggests your current app language.
Every alert has a title line and a text. The standard format is the watch name and the alert title, followed by the details. You can change it in two places:
- Message format in Notification channels sets the default for your wallet.
- Section 5. Message (optional) of a watch sets a format for that watch only. Choose Custom message template, or keep Use wallet default.
The template is plain text with placeholders in curly brackets. Insert placeholder adds one at the cursor, and the Live preview shows an example alert without sending anything. Append detail fields adds the detail lines of the alert below your text. The title may have 1 to 200 characters and the text up to 1,000. Unknown placeholders are rejected, and the full watch name always comes first, even if your template does not contain it.
Example: title {emoji} {title}, text {network} · round {round}. For a watch named Provider main, an FTSO alert then starts with Provider main · ⚠️ followed by the alert title, and the text names the network and the voting round. All placeholders are listed at the end of this page.
Reset to default brings back the standard format.
The cooldown is set per watch in section 4. Recipients → Advanced: Minimum gap between alerts (minutes, 0 = off). The default is 0, the maximum 7 days.
It suppresses repeats of the same event within that time. A different event always passes, and so does a recovery notice. Because the watch remembers its last alert, a recovery notice in between usually lets the next problem alert through again.
Example with 30 minutes on a wallet balance watch: at 10:00 a large amount leaves the wallet and you get an alert. At 10:10 a second large transfer follows. That repeat is suppressed, because the same event fired less than 30 minutes ago. A third transfer at 10:40 alerts again.
Feed price moves has an additional rule of its own: at most one alert per window length.
Quiet hours keep your phone silent at night. You set them in Notification channels → Quiet hours: switch Enabled on, choose From, Until and your Time zone, and save. The window may cross midnight, for example 22:00 to 07:00.
During quiet hours, private Telegram chats, Discord direct messages and e-mails are held. The bell, webhooks, Discord and Slack webhooks and Telegram groups continue to deliver, and the Alert history records everything.
When the window ends, each held recipient gets one summary listing only the alerts that were held for it.
Example: quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00. At 02:14 your provider misses two commit rounds. The alert lands immediately in your team's Telegram group and in the history. Your private Telegram chat gets one summary at 07:00.
Critical alerts are held too. If something must wake you at night, route it to a channel that is not held, such as a Telegram group with notifications switched on.
The switch Alerts in the notification bell in Notification channels decides whether signal alerts also appear in the bell. Account and system messages always arrive there, for example when a watch was suspended or slots are about to expire. Of your external recipients, only those marked Default recipient receive these account messages.
