Balances and expiry

Distinguish purchased and earned credits, spending order, maturity and expiry.

Last updated: Oct 3, 2026

Your current balance is the amount available to spend. The earned portion is tracked within it, not added on top. The Balance tab also shows purchase and usage totals; those historical counters are not the remaining balance and are not the amount eligible for conversion.

Purchased and earned portions

Paid topups increase purchased credits. The FBEST purchase bonus is part of that purchased amount. Task rewards, referral shares and earned admin grants increase the earned portion. Corrections can also reduce a portion, so historical earned totals are not a promise that the same credits remain available.

For an illustrative account only, suppose the current balance is 900 credits and 300 are earned. The purchased portion is 600, not another 900. If the account then spends 200 credits under purchased-first spending, 400 purchased and 300 earned remain. Under earned-first spending, 600 purchased and 100 earned remain. Both results have the same total of 700; the amount that may later qualify for conversion differs.

Understanding both spending orders

Purchased-first spending preserves earned credits until the purchased portion is exhausted. This is the default before the configured change takes effect. A payment topup therefore does not make additional credits convertible; it just increases the purchased portion.

Earned-first spending uses the oldest earned grants before purchased credits. Credits spent this way are no longer available for conversion, even if they were past the hold period. When this order is activated with the required terms version, the wallet must accept the current credit terms before a debit. Free views and observe-mode calls are not made paid by this change.

The generated section below states the order configured for this instance. Check the Balance tab too: it explains the order returned for your wallet rather than assuming that a previous screenshot or guide still applies.

Hold period and convertible now

Each earned grant has its own date. Its hold period starts at the grant, not when you open the page. Convertible now counts the still-held earned credits whose hold period has passed. A new task grant can increase your earned balance without immediately increasing this figure.

The hold is a conversion condition, not a general spending lock. The page can show the next grant to mature and its date. Purchased credits never mature into earned credits. See Converting to FBEST for the separate minimum, monthly limits and request flow.

Expiry and the warning

When expiry is enabled, unspent earned grants expire after the configured number of calendar months. Calendar-month dates are calculated in UTC, with end-of-month dates clamped to the last day of the target month. Purchased credits do not become earned lots and are not expired by this earned-credit rule.

Before a grant expires, the worker attempts a notification-bell warning within the configured warning window. The Balance tab also shows the next grant expiring soon. Notifications are best-effort: absence of a bell message is not proof that no earned credits will expire. Spend or request an eligible conversion before the expiry date if you want to use them.

Reserved and returned credits

A conversion request removes its reserved earned credits from the spendable balance. They cannot pay for slots while reserved. If the request is rejected or safely expired, a return booking restores the credits with a mature grant date; this does not turn them into purchased credits.

Activity distinguishes conversion reservations, returned credits and expired earned grants. Read Activity and FAQ if the total has changed unexpectedly. Credit corrections and refunds are ledger operations, not blockchain chargebacks.

Spending order in this instance

The operator can activate earned-first spending at a configured time together with a required terms version. Until both conditions apply, purchased-first spending remains in force. The Balance tab shows the order that applies to your account.

- Purchased credits are spent first. Earned credits are used only when the purchased portion is insufficient.

Hold period and expiry
