Buying credits

Follow the five payment paths and handle limits, expired quotes and missing credits.

Last updated: Oct 3, 2026

Buy credits starts a payment for your signed-in wallet. Always create the quote from the Credits page; a plain transfer of tokens to an address is not a PaymentRouter purchase. The credited amount and asset limits come from the server, not from the currency estimate displayed alongside them.

Choose the amount and asset

  1. Open Balance and find Buy credits.
  2. Select an amount under Choose your amount, or use Custom and enter Your amount in credits.
  3. Select Pay with. Check You pay, Added to your balance, the minimum and any limit or paused badge.
  4. Keep enough FLR for gas when paying on Flare. The displayed token cost does not include wallet transaction fees.
  5. Press Buy. The exact quote is fixed at this point; review the transaction presented by your wallet.

The FBEST bonus is already reflected in the purchase quote. Do not add it again to the requested credits. The resulting credits, including that purchase benefit, are purchased credits and cannot be converted back to FBEST as earned credits.

FBEST, WFLR and FXRP

  1. Connect the wallet that matches your sign-in. The page switches to Flare when necessary.
  2. If the existing token allowance is insufficient, approve the token amount for the PaymentRouter in your wallet.
  3. Confirm the separate payment transaction. Approving a token alone does not buy credits.
  4. Keep the page open while it waits for block confirmations and verifies the on-chain payment.
  5. Check the credited message and your balance, then inspect Activity for the Topup entry.

A valid purchase is recognized from the expected PaymentRouter payment event. If the transaction succeeded but the confirmation request failed, keep the hash; the router reconciliation worker can recover matching payments. This recovery has a bounded window and is not a reason to pay twice. An expired authorization cannot be used to make a new router payment; obtain a fresh quote.

Native FLR

Choose FLR, then Buy and confirm the wallet transaction prepared by the page. It sends native FLR with the purchase handle in the transaction data. No ERC-20 approval is needed. The page waits for confirmations and submits the hash for verification. The quote has its own validity window (see the settings below); a transfer confirmed after it counts as a late payment.

The received FLR amount determines the credits proportionally, rounded down, subject to the minimum and cap. Do not manually send a transfer without the required transaction data: the handle identifies the purchase. Native FLR has no PaymentRouter event and is not recovered by router-event reconciliation. Keep the hash if the final confirmation fails.

Native XRP on XRPL

  1. Choose XRP and press Buy. The XRP payment panel shows Amount, Address and Destination tag (required!).
  2. Copy the address and tag from that panel into the sending XRP wallet or exchange. Check both and the native XRP amount before sending.
  3. Send while the displayed quote window is valid. The tag identifies the purchase; the delivered amount determines the credits.
  4. Wait for validation on the XRP Ledger and the worker’s next scan. The page updates automatically when the purchase is credited.

The UI estimates approximately a minute after validation, but this is not a guaranteed deadline. A stopped worker, missing price or indexing delay can take longer. XRP and FXRP are different paths: native XRP is sent on XRPL; FXRP uses Flare and the PaymentRouter.

Minimum, caps and pauses

A per-topup limit rejects an oversized quote. Reduce the amount or use another available asset. A treasury holdings threshold can pause new purchases with that asset until capacity is available again; it does not mean your existing credit balance is paused.

For native FLR and XRP, an overpayment above the per-topup cap is credited only up to the cap. The actual delivered amount is retained for operator review; the surplus is not automatically credited or returned on-chain. Payments worth less than the minimum do not receive a normal credit grant; a small XRP payment is recorded as below the minimum and never credited, the open purchase stays open until it expires, and it is not combined automatically with another payment.

Late payments and incorrect details

For a late native FLR or XRP payment, the system grants the lower credit amount calculated from the frozen and current rates. If the current price is unavailable, an XRP payment waits for the watcher’s next scan; a native FLR confirmation is refused with a temporary error; the page does not resend it, so keep the hash for operator review. The quoted amount therefore does not promise the original credit grant after the deadline.

A missing XRP tag is not matched by this watcher. An unknown tag has no matching purchase; a different valid tag can identify a different purchase. Do not rely on an automatic refund or correction. Keep the transaction hash, destination, tag and displayed purchase details for operator review. See Wrong XRP tag.
